As a child, you could not keep the microphone away from her mouth and her feet off of the stage. Angel would spend endless hours studying all of her favorite singers, mimicking every lick or run they would do. She was determined to be the best she could be and she did not stop until she was satisfied; which was always very rare and in-between. Her vocal guides were idols such as Whitney Houston, Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Barbara Streisand, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Luther Vandross and various gospel legends -- just to name a few.

Throughout her teenage years in New York City, she played lead roles in both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Angel gained recognition for her dedication to the arts and her eagerness to conquer this industry. Major record labels began requesting her vocal skills and she began singing background for many signed artists in the music industry.

In 2001, Angel relocated to Los Angeles to further pursue her musical career in hopes that great success and further experience would follow. Angel has a very extensive background in her profession and has been certified to teach vocalists by her mentor, Mr. Seth Riggs with his technique, Speech Level Singing (SLS. She has been under his intense instruction since the early age of eight. Other than the SLS technique, Angel also specializes in helping individuals develop their own singing style. She also offers diction classes to aid in the elimination of foreign accents.

Recently, Angel was the Vocal Director for the new musical TWIST, directed by Golden Globe winner Debbie Allen, which began performances on June 14, 2011 at the Pasadena Playhouse. Angel has worked as a vocal instructor on various major television networks and shows such as TLC’s “The Singing Office”. She has successfully worked with an assortment of actors and multi-platinum recording artists in the entertainment industry.  Her clientele ranges from singers as young as 6 years to 60+ years and covers all genres of music. Angel is also an active member of SAG, AFTRA and AEA.

Angel has always described music as the “Joy Inside Of Her Tears”. “What can you do without music?...NOTHING! Everything is done to a rhythm.” She was born to sing and to teach voice and is currently living out her dream in Southern California.
